Frequently Asked Questions

How is glass jewellery crafted?

The creation of handmade glass jewellery involves a meticulous and artistic process. I source glass from local artists, utilizing off-cuts and misproductions to ensure an eco-friendly approach. Each piece is crafted from recycled glass. The method is akin to sculpturing, encompassing various intricate steps such as cutting, grinding, sanding, drilling, and polishing. Additionally, some designs undergo a fusion process in the kiln, adding an extra layer of complexity and uniqueness to the final product.

What materials are involved in the creation of glass jewellery?

The main material utilized in crafting our glass jewellery is sourced from local artists, off-cuts, and misproductions — all of which are recycled glass. The metal component typically consists of silver 925/1000 or gold 585/1000, with gold options exclusively available for pre-order customization. Additionally, we offer the possibility of gold-plating silver in various colours, including rose or yellow gold. This flexibility in materials ensures a diverse range of choices for our customers, allowing them to personalize their jewellery to their liking.

How should I care for and clean my glass jewellery?

Caring for your glass jewellery is essential to maintain its beauty over time. Here are some tips on how to care for and clean your glass jewellery:

  • Store your glass jewellery separately from other pieces to prevent scratches and potential damage.

  • After cleaning or if the jewellery comes into contact with water, ensure it is thoroughly dried to prevent water spots or tarnishing.

  • If your jewellery has metal components, use a jewellery polishing cloth to maintain the shine of the metal.

Do you offer sizing options for rings?

We offer sizing options for most of our rings with a metal shank. These can be customized to fit various sizes. However, please note that full-glass rings may not be alterable due to their unique construction. In such a case, we recommend considering a custom order for a perfectly tailored fit. Feel free to get in touch with any specific sizing inquiries or customization requests, and we'll be happy to assist you in finding the perfect ring.

Can I return or exchange my glass jewellery?

In accordance with European law, you have the right to return or exchange your glass jewellery within 14 days from the date of purchase.

If you decide to initiate a return or exchange, please refer to our return policy for detailed instructions.

Are the glass jewellery pieces durable and suitable for everyday wear?

While the smaller pieces are suitable for everyday wear, the larger pieces, serving as statement pieces, require slightly more care to ensure they remain beautiful and endure over time.

Are the colours of the glass jewellery accurate in the photos?

It's important to note that colour variations may occur due to factors like lighting and individual screen settings. We make every effort to capture the essence of each piece, but please be aware that slight colour differences may exist.

How long it takes to make a glass jewellery?

The creation time for a piece of glass jewellery depends on design complexity and techniques, involving steps like sourcing recycled glass, cutting, grinding, sanding, drilling, and potentially kiln fusion for desired designs. To get precise timelines, contact the artist directly, as customization requests can affect production. Generally, it can range from several hours to several days.
